Dan has a left-handed Ernie Ball Music Man bass clone, made by Dillion. For almost a year now, he has been unable to play it do to an electrical fault. So, last week I decided to bring it home, open it up, and try to fix it. When I pulled off the knobs and cover to expose the wiring, I noticed quite a few cold solder joints and broken connections. My first thought was, "What the hell? Did an 8 year old Korean kid assemble this?" My second thought was, "Oh my god, an 8 year old Korean kid probably DID assembly this." Intense feelings of shame followed.
Well, the good news is that after re-soldering all of the bad connections, the bass is good as new! Now we have the potential to write a song for three basses!
